I recently moved to Washington state and found out that in order to register the trailer of my '83 Macgregor 25 I need to know its weight (the actual weight of the trailer, without the boat on it; not its capacity). My main problem is that I have no practical way of putting the boat in the water, leaving it for an hour, and going to get the trailer 'weighed' at a weigh station. Does anyone know what the weight of the original trailer is (or have you had to do this and have a good solution for me?). According to the DOL, a web page printed from the Macgregor corporate site with the trailer weight would be sufficient, or a certified weight from a weight station. I wasn't able to find any information for the 25's on Macgregor's site. Any help greatly appreciated... John Huck John_Huck@hotmail.com

Go to Wadlers web site http://www.wadler.org/ and look up the weight of the boat. Take it to the weigh station and get the total, explaining to the scale guy what you are up to. They don't care for the Alpha Hotels at the DMV either; so you should be golden.
