Macgregor 25 Mod

Hello, I have a Mac25 and was wondering if I could mod the Mac25 to allow a Aft berthing area like the Mac26's. The only thing I am worried about is the Aft vertical structure support. Any thoughts would be great!!!! Many thanks for the help and thought.

Storage more important

Benjamin,I thought about that myself until I realized that either the aft berth or the V-berth is almost always used for storage. I think it's better to leave that area for storing sails, lines, etc., where they can be easily accessed from the cockpit and you don't have to worry about the wet, muddy and smelly things on your bunk. Besides, the headroom under the 25 cockpit is not nearly as high as on a 26C.Just a thought,MArk
