Macerator pump mounting

I am trying to replace the macerator pump on my Beneteau 34. Of course the original is mounted on the interior hull wall inside of the cabinetry in the head. I can only get one of my arms in there at a time. I got the old one out and new one wired and attached to the inlet hose but due to the rigidness of the hose I cannot get the pump to sit exactly horizontal on the hull wall like the original was. Will it be OK to mount the pump on a slight angle? With the motor side a little lower than the pump side.

This should not be an issue unless the pump installation manual says horizontal. However, this is on a boat, and the boat will be at varying angles from the horizontal when you are sailing.
I think you might consider. Will I be able to maintain this pump? Can I replace the impeller? Are all the hose connections tight so that there are no air leaks?

Pump motors should be level with the pump or above the pump. Pump motors are more likely to be damaged if they are positioned lower than the pump head. Check the installation instructions.
