2 Questions:
1.)Have any of you added a traveler to your 26C? If so, how is it configured? Other comments?
2.)Have any of you added a 135 jig with the re-rigging kit sold by BWY? How did that go?

I added a 3:1 Viadana traveller to my 26S. I did not feel the 2:1 offering from BWY would give me enough force multiplication. It mounts in the cockpit just outside the companionway. Roger thoughtfully included a recess in the interior liner to accommodate the bolts. The Viadana traveler is designed such that the traveller rope pulls from the ends instead of the middle as is done with the BWY version. I managed to modify it so the the ropes pull from the middle and it is waaay better that way.

I did the "Big Jib" mod and really like it. I would say, though, you will want a mainsail with at least two reefing points, or be prepared to fly a smaller jib when the wind picks up.

The only drawback I can think of is that with the new forestay mount only 1 foot from the top of the mast, you can't bend the mast the same way as with the standard rig, but the overall advantages definitely outweigh that.

I posted a review at BWY's "Big Jib" and Rolly Tasker Lite Skin sails mod review - MacGregorSailors.com

Wow, this is a detailed and informative reply. We did buy the Lite Skin main sail a couple of years ago and it has performed well.

Thank you, "stickinthemud5" very much!

You are very welcome. We Mac owners are a bit of a cult, so we jump at the chance to be helpful/sound authoritative! ;)
