M25XPB fuel filters

The Westerbeke spares kit for the M25XPB includes 2 fuel filters. One I recognize as the normal spin on canister type attached to the side of the engine block but the other (# 048076) is a small inline filter designated as a filter for the electric fuel pump.
As it is still included in the current spares kit I presume it has not been replaced or eliminated.

Where is this located? I cannot find this on my engine.

Perhaps that small filter is for inside the bottom of the fuel pump. You can save some $$ buy buying filter equivalents from auto stores. The C310 group here most likely have those listed.

I couldn't find where that little filter is suppose to go either. I think its for a filter inside the fuel pump that isn't used????

Question - When you replaced the larger screw on fuel filter, did you fill it with clean fuel before screwing it on? Sort of "manually priming" it??? Or just remove the old one and then screw on the new one without any "manual priming" allowing the fuel pump to fill it.

I'm just wondering about introducing air into the injector pump.
