Sadly we have listed Lyric on the San Francisco Craig's list. Asking 22,000.00 for boat, trailer and truck. Will certainly entertain reasonable offers so if you know anyone who is looking for a Vega please pass it on. There are a lot of pictures some of
which some of you might find interesting. Walt

I saw that on Craigslist earlier today and know it was your boat instantly. Great package deal! I can only imagine how much you must hate to sell her, though. So you were able to run all your electronics, including water maker and fridge, off of only two 55 watt panels and two group 27's? Granted, I see how your panels articulate, and I know what a dramatic difference that makes, but that's still pretty impressive!!

Actually no. At the time we were using the four 6 volt batteries. I think it could be done on the group 27s though so long as input exceeds outgo. We would only make about 5 gallons of water a day (bathed in the ocean and had a freshwater rinse). We watched
a single movie on the combo TV/VCR. A laptop and a DVD would use less power. The stereo didn't use much power and the VHF doesn't take much unless you're transmitting. I removed the old icebox and built a new one with about 3 inches of foam around it. We used
the bulkhead between the cockpit and the cabin as the back side of it and built a false bulkhead aft of it with about 4 inches of foam between it. It also helped being in a very sunny area. I wish I could turn back the clock, the Sea of Cortez was the most
memorable experience of my life. Walt
