Luff track slide

The thumb screw that taps into the mast at the level where the sail slides into the luff track has been lost and the threads have stripped. I am unable to find a replacement and need suggestions on how to fix the problem. I currently can't secure the plate.

Use a Slf tapping screw

Since you mast is aluminum, a self tapping screw slightly larger will cut the new threads you need. You most likely can find the same size thumb screw and self tapper at Lowes/Home Depot in their specialty bins.
