What is the jib luff length on a 78' Hunter 30? I bought the boat w/o sails and someone is offering me a deal on a roller furler. (used) I want to make sure it is long enough.
I believe there was some variation in the masts used. Mine, a H30 from 1977, has a forestay length of 42.2 ft. Max hoist is a bit less -- approx. 41.5 ft. That is measured from the padeye on the bow to the sheave at the mast head.
