Lubricating the top bearing at the top of the in mast furling?

I lubricated the lower in mast furler bearings, winch and the bearing at the top of the main sail where it connects to the main halyard when I was replacing my main a few weeks ago.
Can I access the bearing at the top of the foil by just winching up with my spinnaker halyard?
It looks like my spinnaker halyard will be a few feet short from the top of the mast and I am not sure if that is enough height.

Your topping lift should go all the way to the top - perhaps use that as your primary safety line. I'm assuming you will have dropped your main so you can access the bearing at the top, in which case you can use your main halyard as your secondary safety line. Both exit the rear of the mast so you'd have identical lines of lift (e.g. both on the backside of the mast). The spinnaker halyard comes out the front of the mast and, as you pointed out, doesn't go all the way to the top of the mast. The only other line you could use at the front of the mast would be the jib halyard.

Great advise! I never thought to use the topping lift line and I just replaced it with a new line. I did lube the top of the main bearing when the sail was out but I want to get to the last bearing in the top of the foil.
