Lubricating mast step studs

My Cal 28-2 has 6 studs that stick up through the mast step for turning blocks for halyards etc. They were frozen up and wouldn't turn to allow the blocks to find a natural position. I freed them using PB Blaster (which worked great BTW), but now how can I get some lubricant into them and what should I use? I'd really like to keep them free now that they're working the way they should.

I use some spray silicone from the auto parts store. I think you could spring for the $$$ stuff by looking up sailkote I believe.

Some people like Inox for keeping fasteners corrosion

and free. It is a lot like WD-40 but a little longer lasting in weather.

I would and do use plumbers teflon pipe joint compound.

Edit to add: I don't allow silicone spray on my boat.

If you like the "PB" products (as I do), they also make a lubricating spray with corrosion protection.
