Is there something you lube the mast with? When the mainsail is raised and lowered the slugs get stuck.

Silicone spray

a very light, dry type, is what I use on my sail's foot and slugs.

Lubricate sail track

You can also attach a small length of line (rope) to your halyard, and another line on the other end, lubricate the small length of line, put it in the sail track, pull it up and down. This both cleans and lubricates the sail track. Good luck.

McLube

I spray McLube on the sail slides twice a year and have no problems with the main sail. John

Sailkote

McLube Sailkote here too. Works wonders and no residue. One application last all summer for me. I got my 4oz spray can at WM, but I'm sure it's available elsewhere too. JerryA

Tri-Flow

Yes, that is what I use. It is part teflon and silicon. Expensive as the day is long. About 12 bux a can.. Spray it on and let it work wonders. Tom

Sailkote

I use Sailkote, just put it on my whole mast track for the start of this season. Great dry lubricant that can be used for all kinds of things.
