lube for roller furling

Hey all
Just purchased a Pearson 530 & all the sails are off the boat.
Thought it might be a good time to lube all 4 roller furlers, especially to top parts.
After some web research, DuPont™ Teflon™ Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant seems like just the ticket.
Anybody have any experience w/ the stuff or another suggestion?

Uhm, it is VERY important that you tell us

what furler(s) you have.

Fr'instance, our ProFurl says NO lubrication necessary.

Stu is right. Depends on brand. My Furlex, for example, uses a very viscous blue lube, packaged by Furlex, for the stainless ball bearings in the drum and upper swivel. Some furlers with torlon or non-metallic bearings should not be lubed at all, but rather flushed with fresh water.

A rigger I used before said to squirt some liquid dishwashing detergent in there. Seemed to work.

Sorry I'm so late responding, but as y'all know, a new boat takes you in many directions at once.
Stay sail roller is profurl, but can not find any identification on mizzen and genoa.
Guess the teflon lube won't hurt, but then again "if it ain't broke..."

Lube matters

YES lube-the right lubematters. I was having trouble with our Furlex. Sprayed Teflon stuff to no avail. Found a tube of grease with the "Furlex" logo on it so I squirted some in the upper rolling thingy and Viola! no more halyard wrap.
