2007 H-31 equipped with a Force 10 stove. The 11 lb. LPG tank is dated 2006. There is no rust and appears in good condition. Is there a Coast Guard or other regulatory issue that requires replacement after a certain time?

Thanks

Take the tank to a qualified Propane gas facility. They can inspect repair and"certify" the tank. These tanks have a certification life of about 6 years as I remember. I have 2 that were of unknown date and condition. I took them in and left them with the service manager. Came back in 2 days. They charged about $30. I think it's been over 18 months.. and replaced the valves or parts needed giving each a certification stamp. Good to go.

in the US you get 12 years from date stamp on the tank. If you get it recertified I believe that you get another 5 years.

The regulatory requirement is that the tanks be within certification date or they are not to be filled. I take my out-of-cert tanks to my propane distributor and he inspects and stamps them at no charge. These are low-pressure vessels so you don't need a hydrostatic. They check the cylinder condition, the valve and the pop-off vent. I assume you have an aluminum cylinder, if not that would be a good upgrade.
