Hello, We have the Trident gas control panel on our 79 Hunter Cherubini 37 and the breaker pops quite frequently. I changed out the regulator at the tank and it seemed to help for a while but now it's popping randomly multiple times, every time we cook. Any suggestions on what is going on and how we fix this problem? Thanks.

Do you have the monitor with the automatic solenoid shut off? If so the sensors are detecting gas and shutting the solenoid off. I have heard, but haven't confirmed, the sensors will respond to other organic fumes, i.e., gasoline, butane, methane, etc and close the automatic solenoid.

If you don't have the automatic shut off solenoid detector system, that would be a good upgrade.

Gas Detectors don't trip the breaker on sensing gas they remove ground to the solenoid

So here's what's happening, I checked the breaker to see if it was getting hot while the switch was on and the stove was going for an extended amount of time and it was not. I checked the solenoid to see if it is overheating and causing the breaker to trip and it was quite hot so I am assuming the solenoid is toast after 40 years of operation and will replace it. I'll let you all know if this gets sorted out. Thanks for the responses.
