In order to sail a boat that I am considering to Seneca Lake I will have to bring her through the NYS Barge Canal. How difficult a job is to lower the mast and re-raise it once I get to the lake?
My former 36 had a mast that was lowered and raised in order to access the inner Harbor at Santa Cruz, Ca... The back stay was first hooked to an electric winch in the lazereth---THEN the rear shrouds were undone before lowering the mast forward..In addition the main halyard was used as a belay line....good luck
