lowering mast for the first time on hunter 23.5

I wonder if this would work on my 1983, hunter 22?

hi guys
i bought my boat in water at the marina i keep it at
this is the first time working with the mast
in the book it shows a mast raising tube and 2 bridle wires not vey clear on how to attatch these and how do you winch it up ?
do you put the pole in then use the trailer winch to lower it
i am open to any and all suggestions (polite ones please )

Don't you have the H23.5owners manual ? It is available here on the Hunter Owners site...

Here is a link to download the H23.5 Owners Manual. Read it thoroughly before raising or lowering the mast or someone could be badly injured or worse.....
