Several weeks ago, my RPM's dropped suddenly from 3,000+ to 2,000. They don't fluctuate - but at full throttle, can only get 2,000 RPM's. Fuel filter changed - no improvement. Using same fuel for last 5 months. Any ideas on what to check next? Thanks!

Steve, are ther any other symptoms? Black smoke, white smoke, vibration? How many RPM's at WOT in neutral? A couple of things to check could be prop/shaft fouled, back pressure in exhaust usually at mixing elbow, transmission problem. Another slim possibility is tach error. We need more detail to be more helpful

LOW RPM'S
Low RPM's both in nutural or under power. Engine works fine - no smoke, vibration. Prop foul not an issue as low RPM's in nutural. Let me check my speed under full power to consider bad tach. Thanks.
