Lost turnbuckle body.

Must have worked its way off during travel even though trip was short. It is off of a 97 Hunter 26. Thread is 5/16, but the body is only about 4" long so I can't replace it with type available locally. I think the brand is Gibb. Any suggestions where I can get a replacement?

Yeah try west marine or any store

5/16 and 1/4 turnbuckle bodys can be purchased anywhere. You just need to make sure which size. If you lost the stud, then you will need to know whether it is left or right hand threads. Try West Marine or better yet ask Phil in the How chandlrey. I bet he has them in stock. They are common items. Gibb is just one style but any brand will work.
