I have lost the little rubber pieces where the shrouds hook into the mast. Does anyone know if I can do with out them, or where I can get replacements. I own a 94 hunter 26. Thanks for any help.Tracy
I just shaped a piece of one of those thick black rubber bungies, the ones you see lying on the side of interstates. Worked for me, otherwise you could always call hunter.
You can try fishing corks (showing my age) or test tube plugs (wife works in lab). Even used an inch or so of duct tape across the top of the holes when I didn't have anything else handy.
The folks at usspars are very helpful, but if you can,t find them there I used some from a catalina 22 and shaved them down a bit, they haven't come out in a couple of years.Fair WindsDave
Try SAILNET.COM and look for Gibb Retainer Plugs. There are several sizes available. They are also referred to as Gibb T-Plugs and Gibb Plugs. I picked some up at the local marine store here. West Marine does not carry them.
