Lost reefing line in the boom - Hunter 410 - Selden Boom

Next problem and question!

I had the whole boat re-rigged standing and running. They put new reefing lines in but didn't tie off the second reefing line to the boom. Today I was going to hook it up as we're preparing for a 4 day cruise to the Channel Islands. I pulled up the sail just to check and see where the points were and it sucked the second reefing line into the boom. Any 410 owners know the boom is really long, ~20 ft. I can't tell where the line is in the boom but it's still going in the boom at the tack. I can't see any butterfly pulley system but that doesn't mean it's not there. The diagram in my manual appears to demonstrate that the line is continuous from the tack to the clew inside the boom. If so I've got a fishing tape/wire line thing that I just used to unclog a waste tank vent. I'll use that to run, tie it off to the part of the reef line I can see and pull it back. (I'll clean the tape wire first).

Can any 410 owners confirm that the reefing mechanism in the boom is continuous and that simple?

I had this happen to me on my 39. I taped it to the other reefing line to run it back to the end of the boom where I fished it out.

I'll try this approach. So far the fish tape isn't working.

Update: No dice. I tried a few different angles and means. There are a few other lines in the boom besides the reefing lines that must have some kind of blocks or something in there. I tried zip tying it also and really gave it some yanks and it wouldn't budge past the 6 foot mark or so.

I've used fish tape to push from the clew to tack and it gets stuck. I've tried to go from the tack to the clew with the fish tape and it gets stuck at about 6 feet.

Final update:
I was able to get it re-run. I had to push the fish-tape from the tack end to the clew end of the boom with no line attached and get the tape out the back of the boom. I then pulled the line out of all the rigging, re-ran it through the boom by pulling it back through with the tape, re-rigged it through the sail and back to cockpit clutch. Job done.
