I lost the rod on my ez steer system on my 260. Miine is a standard ez steer from the outboard to the rudder. I can not locate the information that was posted on this site. I can recall seing a home made system usint PVC that looked very functional. I am going to try and rig something temporary can anyone give advice? Thank you very much!!
The project section had a information regarding this topic but I can not locat that section. This rod may have been misplace so I do not want to spend a lot of money until necessary.

Be well,

I had found a rod with two quick disconnects at each end and it was adjustable from ( I hate to say West Marine. ) it was $35.00 and they had to order it. you can cut it to fit.
It is what I had used to make one for my 22 Hunter.

The two companies that make this are Goldeneye and E-Z Steer.

I checked the e-z steer website and Cabella's and the price has gone from $35 to $280. This must be and error as all this is is a rod with two quick connectors!!!

http://www.foreandaftmarine.com/EZ-STEER.htm something is wrong here!!!.

My Goldeneye steering link is an excellent product. I'm pretty sure the link offered on the T & J Trailer website at $41 is what I have on my boat and it works great:

You can see my installation at this link: http://h260.com/ezsteer/ezsteer.html

BTW: the H260 knowledgebase is at this link: http://sbo.sailboatowners.com/index.php?option=com_bengine&Itemid=167&task=3&model=20&brand=Hunter
