We keep our Hunter 320 on the Sacramento Delta for the summer. We had a great sail and we were within 1/4 mile of our slip when we hit what we think was a underwater piling hard. We looked behind our boat to see our rudder had detatched. no one was hurt, and we were lucky to have had this happen in fairly protected waters. Could have been much worse. This is a new experience for me. the rudder snapped at the post. It appears to be wood core. We will be calling the insurance company today.Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Can it be repaired or does a new rudder have to be made. We do have insurance.Steve DalePlaypen - 2000 Hunter 320
