I noticed that if there is no load on the main sheet, the traveler will rock fore-aft. This dosen't seem right to me. There are bolt heads at the ends of the traveler, but it dosen't look like they will tighten the traveler track up. I was told the attachment is probably from the inside (cabin roof). Anyone have any experience with this? I will check to see if there are inspection plates I can remove, but would appreciate any insight you may have. 1989 H30. Thank you,

Caution

Different boat, I have an H23, but my traveler has several through bolted connections and it is solid as a rock. I haven't seen one on any other boat that rocked as you are describing. I'd be careful not to put a load on it until it was bolted down solid again. I'd be concerned about ripping it off the roof and creating a nice hole...

How are the through bolted connections made? Are there steel plates under the cabin roof? Not familiar with how these things are but together, and of course no schematics.
