I am a new owner of a 170. The stainless bracket holding the rudder is getting loose. One of the 6 stainless screws holding it on has made a mess of the hole in the hull in which it originally fit tightly. Any advice on getting this back on tightly? Can I use Epoxy to fill the original screw hole and redrill it to start again? Anything to keep the screw tight? Also there seems to be some caulk originally but it too is getting messy. Any thoughts on replacing that with Silicone? Last question - What can I buff the hull with to give it a gloss - it's got quite matt after spending a summer in my boat lift. Thanks in advance.
