The top of the rudder post on the 260 runs through a plastic plate(white board) that retains it. On my boat this diameter is a very loose fit on the post and causes it to wobble or clunk around a bit. Does anyone else notice this? I am thinking about shimming the plate diameter to tighten the fit or inserting a bolt to adjust the fit. The plastic seems to grow quite a bit when the sun is hot and the fit is better in cool weather. Perhaps a more stable material should be used for such a criticle bearing point. the steering often feels sloppy.
