You might be interested in thread discussing rigging tension on a Catalina 310 and article from UK on tuning and Loos entitled "How to use PT Series Tension Gauges" in case you do not have it. Maybe too obvious but you might consult with your rigger.

In the manual it says how much rake the mast should have by taking a straight line ( hallyard) from the top to the deck. I forgot the distance but it equates to 20 on the gauge for the outers. Then take up the slack with the inners. Equates to 15 on the Loos gauge.
