Am trying to get an idea on how long it will take me to get my Oday 34 from StL MO to Mobile AL. As most of you know under power we max out about 5kts. We are at Mel Price lock about 20 or so miles from down town. We watch the loopers go by every year and now it is our turn. We rented a slip on Marco and are moving our boat to warmer water. Scheduling will be important with kids in school and work to pay for it. Any help or suggestions would be great!

Cheers

Are you aware of the Great American Loop website? Try Google. They may have "timetables" (!). Safe journey.

Jwiggins.. I eagerly await any information you gather! This is my destination as well in another couple years. I too am in STL and currently out training on Lake Carlyle on an M25.

Plan is to find something bigger and get her placed in grafton where we can work on her and make ready for the same trip!

Have you visited Capt. John's web site? google "the great loop" and find capt. John. his site is incredibly detailed.

congratulations!

Thanks,

The plan is take it to Kentucky Lake and have her hauled out, she needs a saltwater bottom and anode. Then load up the beer and head down the Tenn-Tom to Mobile. She will stay there till late December when the family will take her to her new home on Marco Island.
