It's post questions night for me ;-)

On our B361, we have the original Xantrex battery charger, little one and we don't have an inverter. I'm looking to upgrade to either a single charger/inverter or a separate charger and a separate inverter.

I've been reading that Xantrex/Freedom are so-so, and that Magnum charger/inverters are top notch but costly. The thought of separating them is that if one component goes bad, I still have the other one.

Currently I'm looking at the Magnum MM-AE 1500 watt, 70amp inverter/charger and looking for some feedback on your upgrade experiences.

Hi, I agree with Ron. I also have a 361 and I replaced my house battery with 4 Rolls AGM 6V 250Ah and the start battery with a Rolls AGM 12V 115Ah. I am installing a Mastervolt ChargeMaster 12V-100Ah charger and will install later a Mastervolt Inverter. If the inverter breaks I still have my charger and if the charger fails I will use my old charger as a backup. I still have to figure the best way of isolating the start battery from the house battery. I am looking at Victron FET Isolator. Hope this will help you.

I'm leaning towards separate systems also. Wow, ChargeMaster is up there. We're weekenders so I'm not sure I could justify the cost of charge master. Currently looking at the Xantrex separates. Also the Magnum but they don't have a modified sine wave inverter above 600 watts.
