Looking to purchase an O'Day 222

Due to the popularity of my and another O'Day 222 in our yacht club, we have another member who is looking to purchase a O'Day 222. Preference is for a 86,87, or 88 model, freshwater, with no bottom paint (will be stored on a boat lift on a lake in the Midwest). Would you please respond if you know of an O'Day 222 that is for sale?

Checking this site is obviously a good place to start, but I didn't see one. Someone just posted a link on trailersailor.com that allows you to search all of craigslist (www.allofcraigslist.com) and I found a couple of pages of hits. Good luck. The 222 is a great little boat.

I've only seen one for sale a couple of months ago on the East Coast, Cape Cod area. I sent the listing to a guy in New York who is also interested in buying a 222. He told me that he was going to take a ride down and check it out. The boat was going for some where around $4000 He had emailed me over a year ago and asked me to keep my eyes peeled for one. http://www.by-the-sea.com/ has a boat listing on their site. I sold my catboat to a guy in Sandy Hook NJ a few years ago through their boat listing, and the guy drove all the way up to my house with his trailer behind his car to pick it up. I live about 30 miles South of Boston Ma.

I have an O'day 222, 1984 (the 25 anniversary model) It has been shrink wrapped for 2 seasons, and we want to sell it now. (my husband needs a hip replacement, and his sailing days are over), only used in fresh water (Grand Traverse Bay)
it is complete with e-z tilt trailer, motor, portapotty, new 135% Genoa sail, other sail is quite new, the boat is in good condition, only asking $3600 for this boat.

There's a 1984 O'Day 222 for sale in Wellsfleet Ma. Cape Cod. It has a trailer, roller furler, and an Autohelm ST 1000 + autopilot which goes with it. Check the classifieds on this site for more info.
