Looking for suggestions for a free Wordpress template for a sailing club website.

Good Morning All,
I am in the process of creating an improved website for our sailing club, and was wondering if any SBO members has a recommendation for a free WordPress template that their personal site or club uses.

I plan on having weather, forum, photos, announcments and calendar features. I would prefer the site is mobile device compatible

Wordpress has many templates (Themes) available. Just pick one that has a format that you like.
As you’ve probably discovered, the beauty of Wordpress is that it’s free for a basic site, and it’s DIY, you don‘t have to pay a designer to build and maintain it. Perfect for a small club.

Yup. Been using it for years. There are so many templates, some of which have built in support for bbpress and other plugins that I would likely use.

The "problem" now is that there are so many free and reasonably priced templates that it is hard to determine which one is truly better than the other.

That is why I asked for suggestions to help narrow it down and hear any real-world experiences for a template a club may already be using..

I was considering using Joomla but WordPress is a better option especially for ease of use with less techie club members
