Looking for stanchon bases for a 1985 Hunter 40.

Hello,

I am looking for stanchon bases for a 1985 Hunter 40. I called Hunter and they said the bases were out of production and unavailable. I am assuming that all Hunters of that era used the same stanchons and bases.

Does anyone know where I can get them?

Here is a pic of the base in question.

I am fairly sure that you will not find them in the traditional scheme of life.

I suggest that you go to a marine junk yard in the gulf coast area. There has to be dozens of bruised & damaged Hunters from that area.

You next best bet is to take your old part to a machine shop and see what they can do to you (or was that for you) <g>

I have the same problem. I finally made one out of star-board, but it was made of 2 pieces and has since broke. I'll make another 1-piece with thicker starboard and see how that works.
