I like burnt Store
Our boat, a H336, is in Burnt Store Marina, Punta Gorda mailing address, but between Ft Myers and Punta Gorda. We pay $7.75 per foot per month plus electricity. There is a minimum footage, 25 or 30 I think, but I lost the flyer. We are 10 minutes at most between stepping onto the boat and sailing in Charlotte Harbor. No bridges, no canals, just sailing. The marina is not yet full, but is getting close. There seems to be some preferrence for homeowners, but that is not clearly stated. You said you are going to move, want a house or condo "close to the boat" or canal-front? The housing there is nice and reasonably priced for a "gated" community, but the homes facing the marina are a bit pricey. No, I am not a salesperson, just a homeowner who would like to invite any boat-owning midwesterners to join me. I really like it down there.
