I mentioned in a previous post I have rescued a DaySailer from the grave and now I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new fiberglass centerboard for $350. The boat has a wooden centerboard that may have been homemade, but nonetheless it is broken. I'm interested to know where I may find a used wooden or fiberglass (preferred) centerboard so that I can get this thing in the water. Thanks.

finding a cb may be difficult

You may be able to find someone out there who is parting out their boat. but it may be easier in the short haul to make one. The specs are in the attached link. I would start with 3/4"ply cut to shape and edges rounded and add some fg cloth with epoxy. This may be more than the designed weight however, but if you are not planning on racing this may be ok. If you click on the diagram, it enlarges to a printable copy.

Try Rudy

Rudy at D&R Marine has all these parts - the cost of some of these is not cheap .... But you will have it and be sailing soon. http://www.drmarine.com/ Good luck
