Looking for GPS Waypoints - Chesapeake Bay

I seem to have erased all the GPS waypoints that I had programmed into my handheld GPS last year. My chartbook is on the boat and I won't be there 'til the end of the week, but I'd love to begin re-entering these waypoints. I am looking for the points that are printed on the charts in the chartbook (i.e. CB 001, etc.). Questions: Are these waypoints specific to this chart publisher, or are they generally known waypoints? If yes, does anyone know of another place where I could find a listing of them, with coordinates, so I could re-enter them before going to the boat? Thanks very much.

Have you tried Maptech?

Have you checked out MapTech's home page? You can see the marine charts and, using the cursor can get the lat and long of major features such as marker bouys etc - Yes I know this is not perfect but it is certainly close enough and will get you within a few feet.Check out the link below which is for the approach to New Bedford. http://mapserver.maptech.com/homepage/index.cfm?lat=41.61588096156584&lon=-70.90114158213771&scale=40000&zoom=100&type=0&icon=0&width=498&height=498&searchscope=dom&CFID=473770&CFTOKEN=30443372&scriptfile=http://mapserver.maptech.com/homepage/index.cfm&latlontype=DM.MMMapTech shows R-14 as 41 36.953' N and 70 53.982' WI have actually marked this within 2 feet and my GPS says it is at:41 36.964' N and 70 53.978' WI cannot tell you what this difference means but it appears close enough until you have the opportunity to mark them again.The data for G-15 isMaptech 41 36.977' N and 70 54.086' WMy GPS has marked it as: 41 36.899' N and 70 54.058' WHope this helps .....James
