Just bought my 30TR this year and it did not have a jib furler. I would like to get one this summer. I don't know what kind to buy or what is involved in putting it on. This is what I have heard from others at my sailing club (none of which own a catalina 30 tall rig): 1. I should use the largest sail I have (for me that is a 150% genoa) 2. The sail will have to be cut to fit the furler 3. The forstay will have to be cut to fit the furler 4. Profurl has the most rugged furler 5. Not a job I would want to do (I have never been up my rig), needs professional instalation. So, I am looking for help from my fellow catalina 30 owners for advice on what kind to buy and who should install it. Thank you in advance.
