Beneteau F310R Marblehead
I am trying to verify the PHRF rating for Beneteau F310's, particularly the R (Racing -tall rig/deep keel- version). I sail a '91 F310R out of Marblehead MA and recently had my rating changed from 138 racing/144 cruising to 132/138 respectively, after 5 years of racing this boat. The 138/144 is the rating that this boat had when I bought it from the previous owner/racer in Annapolis. I am interested in what are the ratings of other F310's, or any version or vintage, and where they are being raced out of. If you wish to send me any information off line, you can do so at kft@comcast.net. Thanks and happy sails. kevin

Ratings for 310

My boat was accidentally mis-rated as a racing rig in Lake Michigan phrf at 136. Standard rig 310s in Lake Erie and surrounding areas rate at 150 to 156 for furling head sail. It is commonly complained that these ratings are too low as these boat don't compete well with other similar sized boats with higher ratings. In other words, in most conditions it is difficult to sail to the rating. At least that is what I hear. John
