Looking for deepc41

I am looking for a member of this group with email "deepc41" who sent
me some info on M2.05 Vetus engines. I tried to reply but the email
account seems to have been disabled. Please contact me again if you
see this post...

P.S.: I'm interested in any other Vega owners with Vetus M2.05
engines. I received a service manual from Vetus, but it is not very
informative (like what kind of routine maintenance one should perform
in what time intervals). Any suggestions on typical problems and
things to watch out for? Can you get spare parts (filters, gaskets,
copper seals, etc.) at other places or does one have to buy them from
Vetus directly?

Hi Sebastian

Vista had a M2.05 fitted when I bought her. I don't pretend to know
to much about this or any other engine but I can tell you that the
engine is a Mitsubishi dumper engine marinised (or is that marinated)
by Vetus. I'm pretty lazy so I only do the minimum but I've no
trouble getting oil and fuel filters. I have a Grossland equivalent
number for the oil filter, if that means anything where you are.

One thing that happened to mine was that the fuse holder on the top
front of the engine went open curcuit. Bummer that your engine wont
work because of a fuse, but bang out of order not to work because the
fuse holder dies.
