I have to ask, why would you want a wheel in a 25 oday. The cockpit is tight enough with the tiller. Also regarding a used trailer, that will be a tough search. Normally the trailers go with the boat, or are so neglected that they are useless. The previous owner of my boat had a custom tandem axle trailer made, aluminum, with bunks and brakes, he paid 2300.00 here in Tampa. The trailer is awesome. It is in great shape, and wouldn't hesitate to pull the boat anywhere with it.

Hi Bruce; I saw one with a wheel at a boatyard here on CT. The owner had paid to have it converted to a wheel. Ross is right, it took up half the cockpit. Personally, I like the tiller on my 25 better anyway. Much more responsive than a wheel. Regards, Corey

Tiller
Bruce, Go for the tiller steering. You may want to install an autopilot some day, and the tiller autopilots are cheaper than the wheel steering models. As far as the trailer is concerned, check out the Triad Trailers. I bought a new Long Aluminum tandem Trailer for my boat, but I had to add the keel planks, and the extra long bunk extension brackets myself. You probably wouldn't have to do anything to the Triad but adjust the pads and move the winch stanchion. Joe
