Looking for an LED replacement

This is for a dome light in a Hunter 29.5. The replacement bulb is a number 912 and the fixture is a Guest. I have been looking at this one but not sure it is the correct xref.

The vendor cannot say for sure.

Has anyone replaced theirs with an LED? Not too concerned about color since we only use these lights for general illumination.

Sailim8 - I used a similar product from this firm in my 2003 Hunter 306 this past summer, when I changed my interior lights to LEDs. For the Hella halogens, I used warm white G4 replacements that was a flat circle configuration, and they look OK....seem to be as bright enough. (Items were G4-xHP6-D LED Lamp $ 11.95 (each) Warm White G4-WWHP6-D.) For the halogen spots over the berths, I used a G4 bulb that was round and fits in the reflector....seems to work well and is bright enough. (Items were G4-WHP15-T White LED Lamp $ 16.95 (each) Warm White G4-WWHP15-T.) For the dome lights, I used a cheaper one that is not quite as bright as the replaced bulb, but since I have these other Hellas all over the cabin, in the berths and in the head, the three dome lights (dim as they are now) serve OK for basic illumination. I think the ones you refer to above were not available to me in July. (I used 921-x12 Wedge Base LED bulb $ 3.95 (each) Warm White 921-WW12 2.00.) As I said, what I got for the domes are pretty dim but OK for what I use them for...getting up at night to pee and not waking everybody else. Hope this helps. (But thinking more and more about it, I just may retrofit to the bulbs you reference above.)

Thanks for the info. Like you said, not too concerned about how bright they are just need enought light to see.. I will probably buy one to se if they fit. I have also sent out inquiries to other sources. I will post back the results.

according to the supplier the bulbs would be a good replacement. I will order some and give a report.

I have installed those superbrightled.com in mine. Very brigh and nice. You loose a little bit since they point down and a normal bulb is reflected in the assembly itself. Head and V berth are that type, Salon are sensibulbs.

Great pix! That is just what I'm looking for. Just enough light to move around in the dark. The LED bulb over my table is bright enough to read by. The bulbs to replace he dome fixtures should be perfect.

Just reporting back that the bulbs worked perfectly. I would recommend them for general lighting use. The color temp is a warm white and the beam diffused. Hardest part is replacing the dome light lens. Hint: keep track how it came off so you can align the tabs on the lens the same way.
