I've installed exactly one Bimini (purchased through Catalina Direct) and, as the new to me boat hasn't hit the water yet, it remains to be seen if I will be satisfied with what I've done. FWIW, I have parts on order to modify my install as I believe that while workable, my install is not optimum. So, I am no expert to offer advice, but with your boat having straight and level coamings (as opposed to the raised coamings of the New Design C-22 which complicate install positioning) the only issue you have is to determine if you want a single point mount or, if you would prefer to install a rail for you to be able to slide the Bimini fore and aft depending on if you're at anchor/dockside or sailing. If you ordered from Catalina Direct, your Bimini came with the single point mount. If you choose to get the sliding rail mount, that will afford you the ability to adjust the Bimini fore and aft. As you have a Capri 22, with a mid-cockpit traveler I speculate that you will only be moving the Bimini forward when on the anchor. Where do you normally sit while under sail? In front of, or behind the traveler? Are you more interested in shade for your guests, or yourself? Unless Capri 22 owners chime in, this will all be up to you to decide what works best for your sailing style and where you find yourself sitting most often while sailing. For installation, refer to your order's "dimensions" information. This is what tells you the minimum and maximum width of your Bimini. You should lay out your install position/center line (if installing a rail mount) within that dimension. I hope this helps.
