I am planning on installing refrigeration on my 1994 Legend 35.5. I want the type that automatically switches to AC when plugged in at a dock. I live on my boat but I'm away from the boat on the road for work all week. I don't want to have to run a battery charger all the time. Several friends have a NORCOLD model installed but it doesn't seem to be manufactured anymore. Any recommendations ?

Sharon, I have an old Norcold refrigeration conversion unit installed in my '88 h33.5 that needs to be replaced. I am considering installing another Norcold unit that I saw in the Defender Catalog. The model number is SCQT-4407 and retails for about $520. The write up states that the unit automatically switches from Ac/Dc.
