I recently acquired a 71 or 72 Catalina 27 (hull number 441). It was damaged in dry dock when another boat fell off its stands hit mine and bent the mast. It is a tall rig. Where can I find a replacement mast? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mast no long available from Manufacturer

Thanks for the lead but they are no longer available from Catalina. They did put me in touch with a place that could easily make one up for me, but at a price of nearly $3000! I think I'll keep looking for a used one.

What about a weld up?

Kieth, There is a guy here in town that does welding on the pontoons for the local marina. I'm sure you could find one near Whitney that is pretty good, too. Have you thought about a cut and weld? It might get you by; I've seen them done and sailed afterward, so I'm sure it's possible. Depending on where it bent and how much you'd have to cut/splice most welds done properly are stronger than the original metal.
