Ahhh, the swim ladder conundrum. I had the same boat and I needed a swim ladder. The problem is that there are so many pieces of junk swim ladders put there. I ended up spending a little more and got one from WM that mounted to the stern using a pair of "keyhole plates" that mounted to the top surface of the stern. Each vertical post of the ladder had a screw on the end where post curved over 180 degrees that fit into the slotted hole in the plate and held fast. Worked great. The reason that I tell you all of this is that I found the biggest problem with ladders is getting one that stays in place while you are using it. This one did.
