I am very much interested in purchasing a spinnaker and a spinnaker pole. I would prefer to buy them used due to cost but if need be I am willing to get them new. Any suggestions? Anyone have a spinnaker or a pole they want to unload? I am also interested in finding out what type of loop I should secure to the mast for the spinnaker pole and how should plan on securing it to the pole?(rivet or screws?) Hi Christos, There's a great place on the site to put out the call for used gear... look under the Boats for Sale tab. It's called Gear Here, and is a free service. I bring this up because we have a policy that prohibits gear swaps and offers in the forums.

I recently bought a spinnaker pole for $45 and a spinnaker for $95 from Minney's Surplus sails (or something like that) in costa mesa ca for my Catalina 22. The sails normally run a little more. My spinnaker is not the best looking. It is on ok shape but someone spray painted numbers on it. It did take me a while to find a pole. They have a listing for used sails on their site and you can e-mail them or call them. I was last there about a month ago and they had a good pole for about $100. I was about 8 ft X 1 1/2 in.
