Looking for a spares kit for my 1999 Yanmar 4JH3E diesel engine

Am the new owner of a 1999 400 MK II, which my wife and I are very happy with.
We're not having any luck finding a spares kit (belts, filters, injectors, glow plugs) in spite of lengthy on-line searches.
Does anybody know if they still make these spares kits? Or do I have to buy everything separately? If they are available, where?
Thanks in advance!

Haven't ever heard of any spares kits out here.

Very easy to sit at your desk with a parts catalogue for your engine and make a list of spare parts. Take the list to your Yanmar dealer and you've probably saved a few bucks over a parts kit. That's the way I assembled my spare parts list for my boat when I first got it shipped from Florida.

Forgot to mention that you may be able to find your shop maintenance manual and/or parts manual for your engine on this site under downloads.

Toad Marine, Catalina Direct etc., they can provide them. But like some one mentioned you can assemble them probably cheaper. Besides if you have like a RaCore filter it's not in there anyway. And there are parts in the spares kit you may not even use or ever need. Just my opinion.

The best prices I have found are from Niemiec Marine in CT. Good service Good prices.

Yanmar fuel filters are rebranded Racors.

Gates Belts are cheaper at a NAPA or other Auto parts stores.

Wix Filters has a good cross reference list for oil and secondary fuel filters.

Does your engine actually have glow plugs, my 3JH2e does not.

Injectors are really expensive and don't wear out that frequently. I'd skip them.

Yes, what Dave says. Racor fuel filters and Wix oil filters. Wix are probably the best, and I believe they make the Yanmar filters. I was obsessed with filters a few years back and researched this topic. I only use NAPA Gold, which are Wix, and easily obtainable. Likewise on the Gates belts.

A couple of things I might add to the above. Some engines are very size sensitive and can't use a major brand like a Gates, but they are few and far between. On those same engines WIX filters or others have a slightly larger case at the mount and the belt can rub on them. The OEM's for most Universals seem to be the most susceptible to this. Glow plugs can be purchased for non-marine, same glow plug, for about 25% of the marine part number. Injectors the same way you can buy rebuilt for about 40% of new, but unless your traveling to a remote area probably a waste of money in my view. You generally have plenty of notice that they are going bad as well. Yanmar's are a bit less sensitive to these idiosyncrasy's.
