I lost the removable helm seat on a 1991 28' Hunter. It was molded fiberglass with teak trim/humpback style. I contacted Hunter Marine, but they no longer have the mold to make replacements.
Any ideas, directions or suggestions on where i might find a replacement would be much appriceated. I have been searching the web for marine salvage businesses but so far no luck...
hoping to find a lead here -
thanks,

Personally, I'd look for some teak planking, 2x6...2x8 to make a replacement "seat" with and buy a foam helm cushion from someone like "BottomSiders". Other wood could be used, stain and urethane it, use your choice of flat or "camel hump" style cushion. Fairly inexpensive, yet comfortable fix, plus...it would FLOAT!!!
