Long process to replace water damaged original teak and holly veneer flooring. First I had to pry up the plywood that was bonded to the fiberglass liner with silicon caulking. Second, and hardest step was to peel up the silicon with razor blade tools followed by hand sanding with a paint removing type scotch pad. Third step was to create a template using a plastic sheet supplied by PlasDeck. This was all done last Fall to allow Plasdeck time to manufacture the floor. They require about eight weeks for that process. I received the flooring, including all the necessary adhesives and tools in one shipment last Winter. Last step was to spread the adhesive with a notched trowel, place the flooring down and roll using a flooring roller. If anyone is interested in doing this to their boat, I can supply more details that I have not included here. The cut out floor fit like a glove and I am very satisfied with the PlasDeck company. The approach I took of creating a template and having the floor assembled with borders to an exact fit is but one of many options available by PlasDeck.
