looking for a Keel Winch

Hello My name is Jeff Asbury. I am desperately looking for a Keel Winch for 1975 Macgregor 2-22. Iactually went to the MacGregor plant in Costa Mesa/Newport Calif.,Purchased a new keel winch form them and it didn't fit. I know that itwas not toe original part. Keel winch

Jeff; Most keel winches are just trailer winches. Get one at a trailer supply store, or maybe Sears. You may have to do a little modification where it mounts but it shouldn't be too hard.

Keel winch replacement (brake winch)

I just got one got my 25, I hope it fits. If it doesn't, I'll return this one and start looking for a brake winch, which is all this is. Nothing special. The original one rusted through by one of the bolts.Call around at some trailer parts places or anyone who sells trailers and see if they have any brake winches. My 25 has a 650 lb keel. The winch I purchased was rated at 800lbs.
