Looking at Hunter

Just a quick question
I was looking at a hunter for sale and there is considerable rust on the keel. I dont think there should be any if it has been properly maintained, is this correct?

Rust on the keel is no big deal. If it is iron, it will rust.

I agree. The only rust that would worry me would be from keel bolts. If the keel is tight, everything else is just cosmetic.

As stated above keel rust is just a maintenance item. If you have it out of the water you can grind it down to shinny material and epoxy it.
