Let me reiterate something that I tell everyone before moveing a boat with the mast up. Look up to make sure there are no trees, lines and so forth or you might get into trouble. Even the best of us to include an employee sometimes do not do that and there could be damage and injury. Please look up. We were lucky, the employee goofed and drove a boat under over head wires which got between the telephone cable and the main electical line. I got the mast down very carefully with no inujury or damage which the good Lord was with me. I can tell you that one experience seeing the end result in a death can be very gruesome. My father was killed in electrical lines when I was young and unforntuanetly I saw the photos and I could not recognize his face. I live with that nightmare. Please Please always look up before moveing a boat with the mast up

Hear, Hear or Look, Look!

You are so right, Dave. The worst part of these situations is that you might notice the wires when you first put the boat in the area but later they become ignored - complacency. In my case, fortunately, we only welded the backstay to the wires and we were standing on a fiberglas boat on a trailer with rubber wheels.
